Joe Griffith, Founder of Atalaya Insights

Background

Atalaya Insights was founded in 2016 after five years at Bain & Company, where Joe worked as a Case Team Leader on commercial due diligence, M&A strategy, and post-merger integration for PE clients and corporate management teams.

Since founding Atalaya, Joe has led engagements across software, industrials, business services, consumer, food & beverage, and healthcare — advising both financial sponsors evaluating acquisitions and corporate leadership teams making growth decisions.

The practice is built to keep senior judgment close to the work. Joe leads every engagement personally — the strategy, the structure, the final answer. Where the work calls for it, he brings in the right support: field researchers for primary data, analysts for specific workstreams, specialist resources when the problem demands it. What stays constant is who's accountable.

Engagements are structured to fit. Sometimes that means one person covering everything from analysis to final delivery. Sometimes it means working as part of a client's existing team. Sometimes it means leading a small team assembled for the specific problem. The model follows the work, not the other way around.
